The Department of Political Science, Ch. Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani enjoys an exceptional reputation in both Academic and Scholarly discipline. Extremely rich in Academic potential, the faculty as well-known for their research and teaching capabilities, it comfortably holds its prestigious place of jewel in the crown of University.
The Department of Political Science was established in 2014 with intake of post graduate students. The department offers M.A. and Ph.D. programmes in Political Science and regularly provide a vast horizon of possibilities with Seminars, Workshops, Extension lectures, Career Guidance and Placement Programmes etc. to its students. The duration of M.A. programme in Political Science is 2 Years and each year is divided into two semesters. This course is open for students with a Bachelor Degree in any stream, it is an inter-disciplinary course which offers a deep understanding of various aspects of Political Science such as Political Ideologies, International Relations, Indian Polity & Constitution, Indian Foreign Policy, Defense & Security Studies, Public Administration, Political Theory and Political Philosophy.
After completion of the program, the post graduate students of the department can find employments in both sectors i.e. Public and Private in the fields such as Civil Services, Govt. jobs, Public Administrator, Educator, Researcher, Journalist, Political Advisor and Analyst. The department in its curriculum also includes Current Affairs and Seminar papers to enhance presentation and communication skills of the students and faculty motivates them to be aware of key national and international events and issues.
Politics and its study in the form of Political Science are intriguing phenomena that have captured the attention of thinkers since ancient times. Political Science deals with the study of the State, Nation, Politics, International Relations and Programmes or policies of the government.
The Post-Graduate program of Political science at CBLU, aims to provide students an ability to critically analyze the contemporary important political issues, national and international events, foreign policy choices, and defense or national security issues. Following our aim of covering the depth of the discipline, students of Political science will be encouraged to identify and pursue areas of interests that go beyond conventional disciplinary Structures.

The Department of Political Science was started in 2014 with the aim to train the students in the fundamentals of Political Science. In keeping with the spirit of the CBLU, the Department incorporated a strong interdisciplinary emphasis on the structure and design of the syllabi.
The duration for M.A. programme in Political Science is 2 years and each year is divided into two semesters. This course is open for students having a Bachelor’s degree in any stream. It is an interdisciplinary course that focuses on various aspects of Political science such as Politics, Political Theory, Political Ideologies, Political Philosophy, Constitutions, Human Rights, International Relations, Foreign policy, Defence and Security Studies etc. After the completion of the programme, M.A. Political Science degree holders can find employment in both public and private sectors such as Public Administrator, Researcher, Journalist and Political Advisor & Analyst.
In 2019 the department also started Ph.D. programme.
The faculty has published extensively in the form of books, monographs, reports, articles, reviews, commentaries, perspectives and research papers in reputed national and international journals.

Bachelor Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks in aggregate (42.75% in case of SC/ST/Blind/Visually/ Differently Abled etc. candidates).
