It is explicitly symbolic of the objective of the university which is:
“to establish and incorporate a teaching-cum-affiliating University to facilitate higher education in multi disciplines with special emphasis on sports and physical education and to achieve excellence in these and connected fields”.

The DNA on both sides of the emblem represents perpetuity and potential of human race; these are beyond doubt, boundless and inexhaustible.

The spikes of the golden wheat grains which are suggestive of prosperity and nutrition are also indicative of the life-cycle of the prosperous state of Haryana.
Flame
The flame at the centre of the logo is the flame of knowledge, wisdom and enlightenment—the ultimate goal of every living being and the guiding principle of our university. It suggests the end of all darkness that has pervaded in the form of ignorance, superstition and narrow vision.
Inscription
Lastly, we have the inscription on the insignia—Vidya Gurunam Guru, that has been taken from the Hitopdesha, an embodiment of ancient Indian wisdom imparted by the great Guru Vishnu Sharma to his princely disciples. It underlines the significance of education and wisdom in human life which can come only through great teachers or Gurus thus signifying the importance of Vidya—the knowledge, and the Guru—the teacher who is instrumental in imparting this knowledge.
