Department of Physical Education is a constitute unit of Ch. Bansi Lal University Bhiwani (A State University) Established by Govt. of Haryana in 2014 with special emphasis on sports. Physical Education is an important component of education today, since only a healthy body can survive and support the development of a nation. The department is running Master Degree in Physical Education and Sports with the intake of 35 students, PG Diploma in Yoga with the intake of 45 students and PG Diploma in Naturopathy, Yoga and Blissful Life in collaboration with Sukhanand Foundation with the intake of 30 students. The syllabi of the courses are so designed as to prepare professionally qualified leaders and teachers in physical education and sports. A team of competent and dedicated teachers are engaged in relentless pursuit of excellence in physical education, sports and yoga for health, fitness and wellness of the citizens.
Objective of the Department: -
- To prepare highly qualified leaders and teachers in the field of physical education and sports.
- To serve as a center of excellence and innovation in physical education and sports.
- To provide facilities and infrastructure for sports meeting international norms.
- To create a sports culture in society along with fostering sports spirit as well as mass- participation amongst the youth.
- To create new carrier opportunities particularly for self-employment in sports field.
- To develop and promote different programs of physical education and sports in the country.
- To provide community services in the field of physical education and sports.
Dear Students,
I feel highly privileged to welcome you to Department of Physical Education. I can understand that at the beginning of your carrier as a university student, you are filled with dreams of a bright future ahead. The department of physical education, sports and yoga at CBLU Bhiwani is to bring students, in educational and sports activities that promote healthy life style and foster growth in leadership and team work skills. The physical education and yoga program offers a wide variety of sports and activities, which fulfill the basic requirement of all round development. The success of the department can be gauged from the fact that its students have found placements not in state and central govt. services but also in various institutions, sports industries and organizations. The department continuous dialogues to improve research capabilities and to enhance sports facilities at international level. We are also planning to establish a center of excellence in five dominating sports of this area at CBLU Bhiwani.
Our commitment to create a sports culture in society along with fostering sports for spirit among the youth. Creating new carrier opportunities particularly for self-employment in sports field is a guiding principle of sports policy of CBLU Bhiwani.
I am confident that in days to come, CBLU Department of Physical Education and Sports will be counted as one of the prestigious department for promotion of sports. I am sure that your intellectual abilities will be greatly enhance from the fruitful days that you will spend in the department gathering knowledge and pursuing your course in a dedicated manner.
However, since the student community is a very important part of all communities, the responsibility weighs heavier on your shoulder. The society excepts the students at your level to display such conduct as would set example for others to emulate.

The Department of Physical Education came into existence the day Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani was established, i.e., 25th July 2014 and introduced a Master’s degree in Physical Education with an intake of 30 seats. This course is being run to fulfil the needs of the sport persons of this area to become good physical education teachers, trainers and coaches. The department has been actively pursuing research in different fields with faculty members through a compulsory dissertation paper. Department offers a unique opportunity for problem solving, socialization and self-expression. This Department has adequate facilities for games and sports practicals. There is a special admission quota for top ranking players and single girl child in the department of physical education and sports.
M.P.E.S. (Master of Physical Education and Sports) according to UGC nomenclature
Eligibility
BPEd or BPE or BPES or BSc in sports science or BA/BSc/B.com/B.Tech with at least 50% marks(47.50% in case of SC / ST / Blind / Visually/ Differently Abled etc. candidates)
The candidate other than BPEd or BPE or BPES or BSc in sports science must have minimum inter college first/second/third position or Senior state championship first/second/third position is minimum qualification for being eligible for admission.
Duration: 2 Years
Medium: Hindi/English
All Eligible candidates are required to pass PET. PET is compulsory for admission.
(PET: Physical Efficiency Test (Canadian Test)
Male :
i) Total Distance of the Circuit 75 mt. (Excluding the length of Long Jump Pit & Width of River Crossing).
ii) Long Jump 10 ft.
iii) River Crossing 7 times- (6.0 ft. width)
iv) Vaulting Horse Height 5.0 ft.
v) Forward Roll.
vi) Hurdle Height 3.6 ft.
vii) Two Buckets of 10 kg each.
viii) Timings to complete Circuit 33 sec.
Female:
i)Total Distance of the Circuit 75 mt. (Excluding the length of Long Jump Pit & Width of River Crossing).
ii) Long Jump 8 ft.
iii) River Crossing 5 times- (4.0 ft. width)
iv) Vaulting Horse Height 4.0 ft.
v) Forward Roll.
vi) Hurdle Height 2.6 ft.
vii) Two Buckets of 5 kg each.
viii) Timings to complete Circuit 35 sec.
The Distance of the placement of obstacles:
i)Distance from Starting Line to Long Jump – 12m.
ii) Distance from Long Jump to River Crossing – 10m.
iii) Distance from River Crossing to Vaulting Horse – 9m.
Iv) Distance from Vaulting Horse to Front Roll – 7m.
v) Distance from Front Roll to Hurdle – 15m.
vi) Distance from Hurdle to Buckets – 10m.
vii) Distance from Buckets to Finish Line – 12m.
Note:
1) All the candidates required to bring original ID proofs (Aadhar Card/ Driving Licences/ PAN Card/ Voter Card) at the time of PET.
2) In case of two fouls during the whole circuit the candidate will be treated as fail.
3) In case the candidate complete the circuit without any foul but not within the prescribed duration (male-33 sec. & Female-35 sec) he/she will be treated as fail.
4) In case of one foul during the whole circuit and the candidate completes the circuit within time limits (Male -33 sec. & Female-35 sec) he/she will be given second chance. Further in the second chance/attempt, if he/she commits any foul he /she will be treated as fail.
5) if a candidate skips any station during the circuit he/she will be treated disqualified.
6) If any obstacles break during the course of the circuit, fresh chance will be final.
7) the decision of obstacle judge will be final.
8) Any misbehavior/misconduct by the candidate before /during/after the PET test will be treated as disqualified for the PET.
9) Only the candidates who are appearing for the PET will be allowed to enter the PET Hall with Roll No.
10) The candidate appearing in the PET must wear proper sports kit, otherwise he/she will be not allowed for the test.
11) The result of PET will be declared on the spot.
12) Married female selected candidate will have to submit a certificate from RMO/MO of the University Health Centre that she is not in family way, along with an undertaking that if during the course of study , it is found that she is in family way, her admission would be liable to be cancelled ipso-facto and all dues paid by her shall be forfeited.
*Note: Reassertion will be followed as per Haryana State Government Rules.

Course: PG Diploma in Naturopathy, Yoga and Blissful Life

New era of health is Holistic Health which includes the concept of wellbeing and maintaining primordial health naturally. It includes various aspects of treatment and therapy like Naturopathy, Yoga, Ayurveda and other alternative therapies including the personal concepts. This holistic health industry is one of the major emerging industries in the world which will create numerous manpower requirement to fulfil the needs worldwide. Central Government and State Governments are also promoting and making efforts to enhance the efficacy and quality of health sector by introducing various schemes and projects for the people engaged in Naturopathy, Yoga and alternative therapies. There are many people who are practicing Yoga and Naturopathy but are academically unqualified, therefore, they are not eligible for such schemes and projects.
Hence, we SUKHANNAD FOUNDATION, have introduced a 1-year Diploma course titled – “Post-Graduate Diploma in Naturopathy, Yoga and Blissful Life” (PGDNYB) in collaboration with CH. BANSI LAL UNIVERSITY, BHIWANI.
This course will make a person well qualified in the above field with proper academic qualification and knowledge. This course will be a job-oriented professional course through which, one can approach to various sectors of health and fitness.
Another approach of this course is to transform the regular life into a Blissful Life. The Anand Kosh described in the Yogic texts is the best state for Yoga practice. The ultimate goal of giving happiness and joy to others can be achieved by “Yogmaya Prakritik Jivan”. By adopting “Yogmaya Prakritik Jivan”, we can easily conquer the physical, mental, spiritual, social, National, International, environmental or economic problems. To attain this state, a positive and a healthful lifestyle is required and this is what the concept of “Blissful Life” tells about.
A Candidate possessing a graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University in India or any other equivalent degree with a minimum of 45% (42.75% in case of SC / ST / Blind / Visually/ Differently Abled etc. candidates) marks in aggregate.
Note: The minimum eligibility condition of the 45% marks in the qualifying examination can be relaxed by 5% in case who have won position in NATUROPATHY, YOGA AND BLISSFUL LIFE at the Inter-university / Nations levels for Haryana domicile

The objective of this course is to provide a stress-relieving environment to those who want to pursue their passion for dance. The Department of Physical Education, established in 2014. In keeping pace with the various sports sciences, the department introduced M.P.Ed. course and In this course Department selected the Research, Statistics, Sports Biomechanics, Sports Physiology, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, Sports training, Athletics care and rehabilitation, Sports Psychology, Test and Measurement as a mandatory core subjects. For development of research, Department have started compulsory paper of Dissertation to encourage students for research work who obtained M.P.Ed.(6months research work) till 2019 after that from 2019 department started MPES (with one year dissertation) course. From 2018 department also started the one year yoga diploma course to enhance the current trend of Yoga. At Present, the department has no regular faculties, but in the absence of regular faculties we are trying to start the research projects. Currently, Department of Physical Education & Yoga is decorated with four Ph.D. and net, qualified and experienced faculties.
Dr. Suresh Kumar Malik, with more than 12 years professional research and teaching experience having expertise in Sports Research and Fitness, with 25 paper publications in reputed Journals, 08 books, two abroad paper presentation in International Sports Sciences Conferences and 15 Paper Presentation in Nation and International conferences, more than 15 book chapters.
Dr. Geeta with more than 07 years professional research and teaching experience having expertise in Sports Research, Kinesiology and Sports Media, with 10 paper publications in reputed Journals, 08 Paper Presentation in Nation and International conferences, more than 05 book chapters.
Dr. Manjeet with more than 07 years professional research and teaching experience having expertise in Sports Research and Sports training, with 15 paper publications in reputed Journals, 15 Paper Presentation in Nation and International conferences, more than 05 book chapters.
