B . Pharmacy
It is a four-year undergraduate programme in the field of Pharmacy education for anyone who wants to practice as a pharmacist in hospitals, as Drug Inspector, and as a manufacturing chemist in the Pharmaceutical industry. B. Pharmacy is the study of preparing and conferring drugs and medicines for several illnesses and deficiencies. This programme provides a large number of job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Pharmacists can work especially in a range of industries related to the prescription, manufacture and provision of medicines. Total intake in B. Pharmacy programme is 60 and the admission will be through an entrance examination conducted by the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES).
M. Pharmacy
It is a Postgraduate programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences offered with three specializations: Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Drug Regulatory Affairs.
• Industrial Pharmacy (IP) includes manufacturing, development and quality assurance of drugs.
• Pharmacology (Pharmacology) deals with the effects of chemical agents of therapeutic value or with the potential toxicity on biological systems for the development of drugs.
• Drug Regulatory Affairs (DRA) is a course in which the candidates learn about resolutions that regulate healthcare industries (Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Biologics and Functional Foods).
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences was started in 2015, Pharmacy courses are approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). the Department is equipped with high-tech instruments and well-maintained laboratories in the subjects of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Drug Regulatory Affairs for conducting first-grade research in the area of drug discovery, development and evaluation. The qualified and experienced faculty members are actively engaged in teaching and research. The Department actively participates in various health care programmes, conferences, seminars, webinars, workshops etc.
As Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, I am extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing theoretical, experiential-based practical education that our Department has upheld since its founding in 2015. Our undergraduate and graduate programs prepare our students to become Scientist, Researcher and leaders with the moral depth and intellectual intensity necessary to meet the challenges of a time of critical conversion in civilization.
